A bit about the job…

NCFE have an exciting opportunity for a Curriculum Manager, a new post with operational responsibility and accountability for supporting customer delivery of NCFE qualifications. You will report to the Head of Quality Assurance, working closely with the Assessment, Business Development, Quality Assurance and Learning Resources teams. The Curriculum Manager will manage a small team of Curriculum Officers who initially will support the delivery of Functional Skills qualifications and V Cert qualifications designed for the schools market. A significant part of this role is to ensure that customers are provided with guidance and direction to enable them to commence delivery with appropriate resources and knowledge of the qualifications. You’ll be responsible for the recruitment, direction, learning development and performance management of the team.

 

A bit about you…

We are looking for someone who can give operational direction, leadership, coaching, management and development to the Curriculum Team ensuring the team are up to date and standardised with NCFE requirements for qualification delivery. You will be accountable for the management of the team budget and responsible for ensuring that curriculum support is planned, communicated and delivered in line with qualification and customer requirements.

Skills and experience

 

  • educated to level 4 or equivalent, or significant experience of carrying out a similar role
  • teaching qualification or quality assurance qualification at level 4 or equivalent
  • experience of managing a team
  • knowledge of qualification, assessment and curriculum design principles
  • knowledge of current developments in education and assessment
  • knowledge of quality assurance procedures and issues within an educational context
  • evidence of at least 5 years of working within a relevant profession e.g.
  • qualifications and assessment
  • higher education teaching/assessment
  • teaching
