This is an exciting time to join AoC Create. We are a small business specialising in the provision of professional services to the College and wider education sectors. As the commercial subsidiary of the Association of Colleges we offer a diverse range of products and support services to our members and it is our aim to be recognised as the provider of choice for consultancy services to the Further Education sector.

We currently offer high-quality consultancy solutions to colleges and we are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to build upon our existing success. Our consultancy solutions are delivered through an expert network of independent associate consultants and the Business Development Manager will be responsible for growing this network, ensuring the associates we use are quality-assured and for determining which associates are best suited to individual projects and assignments.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for responding promptly and professionally to requests from colleges but there will also be a need develop new consultancy products which we will offer proactively to the market. We are looking for a self-starter who is also able to work effectively with specialist colleagues across the organisation; you will need be able to interpret policy influences and use these insights to consider potential market need and develop products which meet these needs. Essential to the role is the ability to cultivate and maintain effective relationships at a senior level and to capitalise on business opportunities whilst enhancing our reputation as a key service provider of professional services. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a strong track record of consultative business development and will be able to evidence previous success in leading virtual teams and projects to achieve financial targets. The position is based in our London office, however there will be a need to attend external meetings and events across the UK.
