Vacancy for Temporary Webmaster/Social Media Coordinator in Baku, Azerbaijan
The U.S. Embassy in Baku is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Temporary Webmaster/Social Media Coordinator in the Public Affairs Section.
BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION
The incumbent serves as editor and technical manager of the U.S. Mission to Azerbaijan web pages and social media presence, providing day-to-day management of online content according to Department of State policies. S/he manages all public diplomacy and American Corners/American Centers online programming and outreach to include event promotion, online discussion groups, videoconferences, and real-time public engagement using a variety of web-based platforms (Facebook, Twitter, etc.). S/he provides weekly social media summaries, conducts research, and translates (Azerbaijani/English) as required. S/he also works to facilitate video conferences for American Corners/American Center as well as provides consultation to improve their social media presence.

1. EDUCATION: A university degree in a relevant field such as computer science, information science, library science, political science, international affairs, history, journalism, or American studies is required.
2. EXPERIENCE: Two years’ experience in electronic communications, automation, or website development is required.
3. LANGUAGE: Level IV (Fluent) Reading/Speaking/Writing English and Azerbaijani are required.
