Salary: €21,600 – €25,200

Job Summary

You will work on an innovative H2020 project named My-TRAC (My Travel Companion) that aims to develop a novel transport services platform for the rail sector, designed for public and private transport users and operators in order to provide an improved passenger experience by developing and applying advanced behavioural and transport analytics and Artificial Intelligence algorithms to meaningful data gathered from diverse public transport and Open Data sources. AETHON work on the project is centered around understanding travelers’ strategic and dynamic choices and modelling them using affective computing, AI, Machine Learning and other methodologies. Your work will be focused on creating and continuously improving the application and platform that will be piloted in real time conditions by integrating models and algorithms developed during the project. You will collaborate with teams from other companies and universities in the project and participate in a work-group consisting of additionally two transportation engineers.

 

What needs to be done

  • Conceptualize the design of the application and platform
  • Create a plan for continuous assessment of the products for use in pilots and beyond
  • UI/UX design of the products
  • Integration of the models and algorithms created for purposes of the project in the products (coding in application and platform)
  • Mining of data that users provide in the app and that are input for the models and algorithms
  • Implementation of user control features (user-login and verification)

 

What is perfect for the position

  • Sc. in a field relevant to data science, computer science, applied mathematics
  • Knowledge of programming and application/web platform design and construction
  • Strong analytical skills and a desire to learn new things
  • Excellent knowledge of English
  • A collaborative attitude, team spirit and out-of-the-box thinking
  • Understanding of the “data protection directives” of the EU (namely GDPR)
