LL.M. in Public Law, Koc University
Koç University Law School aims to nurture creative and sophisticated lawyers with its content-rich courses in public law, private law, and its core program, which enables students to excel in a variety of disciplines. The law school program responds adeptly to meet Turkey’s need for lawyers who possess both professional language competency and an international perspective. Law school students have the opportunity to meet professional lawyers in regular seminars for their academic and career development.
Further, exchange programs in partnership with outstanding universities around the world and international internship opportunities are designed to support international experiences for students. The law school also works to instill professional ethic values in its graduates thus enabling them to work in all fields of law- public or private- without exception.
The curriculum for private law includes courses on:

- Investment Treaty Law and Arbitration
- Main Principles regarding the Management of Joint Stock Corporations*
- Privatization Law*

- International Tax Law
- Intellectual Property in a Global Perspective
*Good command of Turkish is necessary for these courses
In order to be considered eligible to apply, you must fulfill all of the following criteria:
- Transcripts: A minimum GPA of 2,75/4,00
- English Proficiency: TOEFL IBT (80)
Costs& Scholarship Availability
For the 2017/2018 academic year, the tuition for the LLM Programs is 63.400TL (approximately 18.000 USD). This fee covers tuition and registration and also allows full use of the library, computer laboratories and infirmary services.
The scholarships are available only to our LLM with Thesis (2 years), which is awarded based on academic excellence (exam scores, grades, written exam, and interview) and includes:
- 100% tuition waiver
- Monthly stipend
- Possibility of accommodation
- Health Insurance
- Other benefits
After you submit your online application via GradApp you may be shortlisted and contacted by the Law School to schedule a written exam and an interview in person or by Skype.
After the interview, if you are offered admission into the program you will also receive a scholarship offer.
There are no additional procedures or forms to apply to our graduate scholarships.
