EURINT 2017 International Conference, Romania
The Centre for European Studies within Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi organizes the sixth EURINT edition, May 19-20, 2017. The event is part of the EURINT conference series which was successfully launched in 2013 in the frame of the Jean Monnet Life Long Learning Programme. Since 2013, the EURINT conference series has established itself as a visible academic event in the field of European Studies and in this regard we aim at developing it into a traditional conference series.
Today’s European Union (EU) is being confronted with both economic and political challenges. The economic challenges are associated with the post-crisis recovery, while the political challenges stem from the rise of nationalism which has recently hit the EU. Against this background, the Centre for European Studies within Alexandru Ioan Cuza University, is organizing the sixth edition of EURINT, which will focus on the resilience capacity of the EU to react to these challenges
During the two-day conference, an exciting academic programme, featuring renowned international experts and keynote lectures, will be offered to our participants: PhD candidates, post-doc fellows, researchers, civil society activists, NGO representatives, consultants, policy advocates and many more.
EURINT 2017 will share the latest academic research results, excellent networking opportunities, possibilities to create links for future academic cooperation (preparing potential research projects, establishing common publishing goals etc.). Moreover, a limited number of international participants could benefit from financial support.
The conference will be held at the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi, the oldest institution of higher education in Romania. EURINT 2017 will be a pleasant and useful experience both for its academic quality and for informal social networking. You are warmly welcome to explore the historical centre of Iasi, its intense cultural life and events, and to enjoy the beautiful May weather.
