International Scientific Conference 2018 in Tbilisi, Georgia

 

In commemoration of the centennial of proclamation of the Democratic Republic of Georgia, on May 31 – June 1,  2018, the Caucasus University holds a scientific conference: “The Democratic Republic of Georgia (the First Republic 1918-1921) – the Beginning of a New Era”

 

The goal of the Conference:

 

  • To facilitate to familiarizing with the findings of the recent research in the most significant period of the history of Georgia;
  • To emphasize the role of Georgia as of an international actor;
  • Drawing interest of the researchers of the issue;
  • Establishing international links among researchers and carrying out future projects.

 

The conference topics include research in the following categories

 

  • History
  • Law
  • Economics
  • Education
  • Science
  • Culture

 

Working languages of the Conference

 

Georgian and English (simultaneous translation available)

 

Selecting speakers

 

The conference speakers will be selected on the basis of the abstracts submitted by them. The abstract should outline the essence of the conference paper, the research methodology and the research findings. The abstract should vary from 300 to 500 words.

 

Method of Registration and the form and ways of submitting abstracts and reports

 

Persons willing to participate in the conference before February 15, 2018 should fill in the application form on the following link and send an abstract of their report. After the organizational committee selects abstracts, the shortlist candidates should submit the final versions of their papers and presentation in Power Point no later than 6.00 p.m. April 5, 2018. The conference materials will be submitted to the following e-mail address conference@cu.edu.ge.

 

Conference Report

 

The final paper should be between 1,700-2,500 words (paper A4, font – Sylfaen (for Georgian), Times New Roman for English; font size – 11; space between lines – 1.5; margin – left – 3; right – 1.5; top and bottom 2,5). The report shall consist of an introduction, a body and a conclusion and references (APA style). Any report in the Georgian language shall be attached by an abstract in the English language.

The abstracts and the final versions of the papers shall carry the author(s) personal data:

 

  • Name Surname
  • Institution, (science degree and position)
  • Telephone (mobile)
  • E-mail

 

The conference papers will be published as an individual book.

The articles will be printed as submitted. The authors bear all the responsibility for all the ideas and conclusions made

 

Important dates

 

  • Conference Declaration: December 25, 2017
  • Submission of report abstracts: From January 15, 2018 – to February 15, 2018.
  • Evaluation/selection of the abstracts and notifying the authors: March 15, 2018
  • Submission of completed papers and presentations: April 5, 2018
  • Date of the Conference: May 31, – June 1, 2018

 

The material submitted after expiration of the deadlines will not be reviewed.

 

The conference participants will be awarded certificates of participation.
