Paid Intern for Pushkin Press in London, UK
Pushkin Press was founded in 1997, and publishes novels, essays, memoirs, children’s books—everything from timeless classics to the urgent and contemporary.
Our internships are designed to give the successful candidate a thorough introduction to publishing. They last three months, and have an emphasis on marketing and publicity tasks, but also cover editorial and general admin across all our imprints.
We are a small, enthusiastic and busy team, and are looking for talented, motivated candidates who have some office experience, are sincerely interested in a career in publishing and particularly passionate about international literature.
We’d need you to be available to start from the end of August and be able to come to our London offices 3 days a week (specifically: Tuesday, Thursday, Wednesday). The successful candidate will be with us for 3 months and will be be paid at the national minimum wage.
We would also like you to:
– Be educated to degree level
– Have excellent written and spoken English and strong IT skills
– Take an avid interest in international literature
– Be self-motivated with good time management skills and great attention to detail
