HR Manager

  • Ultimate responsibility for recruitment and welfare of all International team members
  • Recruitment and welfare for  Local team  members in conjunction with Local Caterers
  • Responsibility for International team travel, accommodation, scheduling, training and accreditation;
  • Responsibility for local team scheduling, training and accreditation
  • Member of the executive management team
  • Oversee performance management and disciplinary  procedures for International project  team
  • On site during Catering Days
  • Be a member of the executive management team with responsibility for staffing services;
  • Report to the Executive Project Director with any project issues concerning the Catering Services;
  • Ensure (in conjunction with Local catering teams) an adequate provision of staff including full-time, part time, contract, casual and back up staff
  • Manage leave process for team members including scheduling leave periods, associated flights and accommodation logistics ensuring that contractual and budgetary allowances are followed
  • Maintain HR records including passport and visa details, contracts, payment details and other personnel information as required;
  • Ensure that sufficient staffing resources are in place to allow the project team to deliver the catering services to the best of their abilities
  • Ensure all project team respect and engage in the local culture and respect all aspects of Ramadan;
  • Other duties as required and also as directed by your line manager

 

Skills Required:

  • Extensive experience in managing large, complex, multinational teams
  • Excellent organizational skills and experience in major events such as an Olympic / Commonwealth Games
  • Excellent communication skills in both writing and oral
  • Understanding of deliverables required for large-scale events;
  • Extensive knowledge and a minimum of 5-10 yrs experience in team management
  • Strong organisational skill, must be able to prioritise
  • Demonstrate a flexible approach
  • Work without supervision, use initiative and be a valued contributor to the team
  • Ability to delegate to members of the project team
  • Ability to budget accurately
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Internet, Database and Outlook)
  • Ability to react quickly to deadlines
  • Ability to perform duties in a high pressure environment
  • No fixed working hours but required to work during business hours and such other hours as may be necessary for the
