Application for TEMA+ program with Erasmus Mundus scholarship is now open. TEMA+ is a two-year long (120 ECTS) bilingual (English and French) Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Course, coordinated from Eötvös Loránd University Budapest, in cooperation with the European Heritage Label (EHL) and different UNESCO organs. The mobility tracks of the students are divided among the coordinating university (Semester 1) and the four partner universities (École des Hautes en Sciences Sociales in Paris, University of Catania, Charles University, Prague and Université Laval, Quebec for Semester 2-3 and chosen individually for Semester 4 among the five universities). The consortium awards students with double or multiple degrees, all accredited on national level.

The TEMA+ aims to provide qualifications for entry into the professions in the area of European Heritage, in local, regional, national and territorial administration, in urban planning and research institutions, related to heritage and identity. In addition, the TEMA+ EMJMD seeks to create a European network of curriculum development and staff exchange among universities and research centers specialized in European Cultural Heritage studies.

The TEMA+ Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Course accepts candidates with various academic backgrounds and degrees (BA/MA, eventually PhD), and is dedicated to foster lifelong learning. The TEMA+ welcomes students at Master level who have obtained a first higher education degree, a master’s degree or demonstrate a recognized equivalent level of learning according to national legislation and practices in the degree awarding countries.
The TEMA+ is open to excellent Program and Partner Country students having acquired a first degree (BA/BSc /180 ECTS/) or a master’s degree (MA/MSc/120 ECTS) in History, Geography, Philosophy, Anthropology, Ethnography, Sociology, Cultural Studies, Urban Studies, Architecture, Nationalism Studies, International Relations, Law, Economy, Administration, Languages or related fields.
The candidates must dispose of a language certificate of both from English and French: one of them must be of an advanced level and the other may be of a more elementary level, which can be also set out by the candidate’s university or department.

You can apply for scholarships to cover the costs, like the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree (EMJMD) Student Scholarship.

The EMJMD student scholarship includes:

a contribution to the student participation costs (including the tuition fees, library and laboratory costs, full insurance coverage and any other mandatory costs related to the students’ participation in the Master);
a contribution to student travel and installation costs;
a monthly subsistence allowance for the entire duration of the EMJMD study program.
Three student intakes, from 2018 until 2020, will be funded by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union. During this time, prestigious Erasmus Mundus scholarships (43 scholarships for Partner Country students and 10 scholarships for Program Country students) might be awarded to the best students coming from all over the world. Students who cannot receive an Erasmus Mundus scholarship can apply for other scholarships. The list of other available scholarships are regularly updated by the TEMA+ Consortium.
